Ladies – do you have deodorant buildup? Do your underarms feel waxy? Does it make it difficult to shave? Do they have a dark appearance?
If you said yes to any of those questions, you are not alone. I tried everything, from changing deodorants, to sugar scrubs, face wash, vaseline, and so on. My razor would not shave all of the hairs due to the waxy buildup and my underarms were becoming dark and very unattractive. But not to fear, I finally found the CURE ALL!!
Baking soda and water! That’s it!! I tried this and could not believe the results after one use. Here’s what to do:
- Mix a few tablespoons of baking soda was a few teaspoons of warm water to make a paste. ***Don’t worry about measuring or if it becomes too runny. It won’t matter for the next step.
- Apply the paste to a washcloth and scrub away. ***If you added too much water to step one, it will seep through the washcloth and you will be left with the perfect consistency.
I did this for 3 days, then cut back to twice weekly. Baking soda is a great exfoliant so you don’t want to over-do-it and irritate that sensitive area. My underarms are super smooth and have lost the dark appearance.
TIP: I keep a small tupperware container in my shower of baking soda mixed with just a little bit of water. It keeps well and all I need to do is add water if it gets too dry.
Grab that baking soda out of the refrigerator and start scrubbing!
